PSV solution emerges: "It's going like wildfire"
PSV is said to be making progress in the search for a successor to Ruud van Nistelrooy.
With the Eindhoven club reportedly in talks with a 'well-known name' who is said to be "going like wildfire."
Mario Götze's name has been mentioned as a possible candidate, with the German international set to leave Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the season.
PSV are also said to be interested in signing Cody Gakpo, who has been in impressive form for the Eredivisie champions this season.
However, it is believed that PSV are also looking at other options, with a number of managers said to be on their radar.
Whoever PSV eventually appoint, they will have a big job on their hands to replace Van Nistelrooy, who has been a huge success at the club.
The 46-year-old has won the Eredivisie title in each of his two seasons in charge, and has also led PSV to the Champions League knockout stages on both occasions.
PSV are hoping to appoint a new manager by the end of the month, and it is believed that the club are keen to make a quick decision so that the new man can start planning for the 2023/24 season.
